Today is December 17th, which means that TWO WEEKS from today
is the LAST DAY OF THE YEAR and 2012 will be upon us.
I know, I know…it’s the holidays and other things are
occupying your mind (and your time) right now.
Seems like lots of marketers are slacking off, enjoying the
family gatherings and parties with friends SWEARING they’ll
be back at it hot and heavy after the first of the year.
It’s normal……it’s natural…
And it’s NOT SMART!
Please don’t misunderstand. I’m absolutely NOT saying that we
shouldn’t take time to enjoy family gatherings and parties.
The holidays only come once a year and our loved ones SHOULD
be our priority. After all, aren’t THEY why we’re working so
hard for in the first place?
But my teacher always told me,
“When everybody else zigs…that’s when YOU zag!!”
Think about it…
90% (or more) of the marketers out there are gonna be letting
precious time slip by, enjoying the holiday celebrations, not
working AT ALL and waiting til after January 1st to get busy again
Wouldn’t YOU be the SMART COOKIE to continue working?
Picture this…
Scenario #1 – Your prospect is thinking…“Oh, my gosh! I spent
way too much on gifts! I have to find a way to make some extra
money before those bills start coming in!”
They start doing a search on the internet, looking at bulletin
boards in their grocery store, combing ads in the newspaper, etc.
and BLAM! They find you!!
Scenario #2 – Your potential customer is thinking…“Oh, man!
I really over did it during the holidays…my jeans won’t even
fit anymore! That’s it! My New Year’s resolution is to lost
this weight once and for all and get into shape.”
They start looking for diets/exercise…and WHAM!
They find you!!
I think you get the picture.
Now think about Scenario #3 – It’s January 2, 2012. You’re aware
of the influx of “seekers” in your niche, and start putting together
your sales funnels, marketing materials, etc.
You work your tushie off and it only takes you 2 – 3 weeks.
Good for you!!
But the problem is…the rush has died down.
People have already spent their dollars with someone else.
They’ve already joined someone else’s program.
And you’re back to struggling to get prospects for your
products/opportunity.
But don’t despair!
The GOOD NEWS is there’s still time!
And as I see it, you have two options…
Keep working through to the end of the year,
Or don’t.
The choice is yours.
But remember, those of us who DO will be happy to serve your
potential customers and recruit the folks looking for an
opportunity into our primary company.
Sound harsh?
Maybe.
But it’s the TRUTH
NOW is the time to start your 2012!!
