What do you do when life hits you?
You know, those things that happen to all of us that can
derail us, if we let them.
The car breaks down, the roof starts leaking or
a storm leaves us without power for days.
Could be that we’ve hit a slump and are either
uninspired or unmotivated (or both!)
Perhaps a family member becomes extremely ill or
is injured
The point is, life…and our own human frailties…
happens to all of us.
Regardless of income or stature, whether we’re a
newbie or a seasoned veteran, blocks are thrown in
our paths that can bring us to a screeching halt.
Make no mistake…it’s not a matter of “IF” they
happen, it’s “WHEN”.
Because as I said, they happen to ALL of us.
So what do we do?
Sit in our circumstance, wring our hands and focus
on what’s “wrong”?
Let it become our “reason” for more “I can’t” and
“I tried” and “I wanted to, but…”
We can, sure. And no one will think less kindly of us
because “that” happened to stop us.
No one, that is, except ourselves.
Something in the middle of us will continue to gnaw at us.
(Some folks call that our “why”)
The alternative?
Acknowledge that there are going to be interruptions,
events and circumstances that demand our attention and
our resources.
Embrace the reality that as we move forward, we will
meet with challenges and yes, tests, that will teach
us, strengthen us and ultimately determine our future.
Realize…and this is a biggie…that Nature weeds out
the weaklings and wanna-bes. We can expect that as we
approach a breakthrough, things will happen to test our
resolve. To see if we really have what it takes.
Then Nature will come along side us, assisting us with
people, places and things to take us even further
So joyfully…as much as possible…we must face those
circumstances KNOWING that it’s part of the process.
That we’re on the right path.
Smile as we pay the repairman because the financial
resources were there and know more money is coming.
Take the time we need with our loved ones!
Aren’t they, after all, why we do what we do?
Above all, we must KEEP GOING. When the crisis is over,
the circumstance dealt with, it’s CRITICAL we return to
those things that will keep propelling us forward as
soon as we can.
No giving up. No excuses. No drama.
Our future depends on it…and Nature is watching.
