The Importance of Creating Evergreen Content

For those of you who may not know, I’ve
been without my PC for a little over a
week now

I’ve been able to access the Internet,
albeit marginally, with a seven year old
laptop that has a whopping 70GB hard
drive and 500MG of RAM

Please hear me…I am NOT complaining!

I’m EXTREMELY GRATEFUL to have this little
machine to work with until I am able to get
my new PC in here.

You might be asking what that has to do with
evergreen content

Just this…

When I get in a bind for whatever reason, I
look at my personal content library.

You know, the things I wrote, the videos on my
YouTube Channel…

Because I’ve never tried to be something
I’m not

Remained rock solid in my personal philosophy

And because I’ve always focused on bringing
VALUE to my readers…

I can pull up, re-post or refer back to an old
piece of content because it’s still RELEVANT

Videos and blog posts about the latest Facebook
change, or the trends in mobile marketing are
important TODAY and should be a part of what
you do, of course.

But be sure to build a library of content that
will be relevant 2, 3, even 10 years from now
and when you’re in a bind, you’ll have something
of value to offer the marketplace.

Could Have Been Dead In The Water, But My Lead System Pro Saved My Butt!!

Everywhere you look, it seems, people are singing the praises
of My Lead System Pro.  Seasoned veterans, big money earners
and newbies alike are pointing to MLSP as their marketing and
educational system of choice.

So what’s the big deal?

I mean really…have you asked yourself why so many marketers
are not just talking about, but USING MLSP?

Answer: Because it WORKS!

But rather than list everything MLSP has to offer (you can
check that out for yourself here), I’d like to share something
that happened to me just yesterday…

It started out as any other day.

Got up, gulped down some coffee to slam my eyeballs open and
started my daily routine.

A quick glance at my “to do” list brought a smile to my face.

Just a couple more finishing touches,  a test run to make
sure everything was linked properly and my newest marketing
campaign would be up and running!

Even though I’d been working hard for some time…and staying
up til 2:00 am or later most nights…I couldn’t wait to get
back to work.

Just a couple more videos to edit, and…

Thrilling when a plan comes together, isn’t it?

But first things first.

Mom needed her morning medications, breakfast, then dishes,
and…oh, yeah!

Got to run to the grocery store for a few things.

I was feeling good and full of energy, anxious to start
my “work day.”  There were calls to make, emails to send,
people to meet, and yes…that campaign to finish.

Returning from the store, I went into my office and was
greeted by…

da, da, DUM!!

The “Dreaded Blue Screen!”

I swallowed my heart back down and took a deep breath.

A VERY DEEP breath!

Went through the troubleshooting steps.

Twice.

And NOTHING!!!!!

I told myself, “OK..don’t panic, Cath, just because
EVERYTHING you were working on is locked up in a now-dead
computer doesn’t mean there’s nothing you can do“

Made a couple phone calls, got some equipment on
its way to (hopefully) help me retrieve all my graphics,
videos, etc…

Spent a few hours removing stuff from the 6 year old
laptop…with its XP operating system…hoping that it
would move a little faster than molasses going uphill
in January, and by midnight last night I was “back” in
a manner of speaking.

So you’re probably thinking, “What’s this got to do with MLSP?”

As I see it, a few things…

First, a few years ago, the Dreaded Blue Screen would
have literally thrown me into a panic state.

But not any more.  It is what it is.

Inconvenient, sure, but I’ve learned how to get past the
stuff that’s been thrown in my path.

That major shift in thinking only comes from one place…

Training.

Learning the fundamentals so you can think on your feet
and deal with whatever roadblock you might encounter is
absolutely KEY to your survival

(and trust me, there’s ALWAYS gonna be something)

I’ve been in the industry a long time, have seen lots
and lots and LOTS of training and I can honestly say that
I’ve never seen a bigger, more comprehensive library of
PRACTICAL information than you’ll find at MLSP.

But that’s just one thing.

Thing two…in the face my computer’s demise (and taking
with it all my work) I have a MAJOR ADVANTAGE…access to
ready-made campaigns and products to give away that I can
use to generate leads while I’m retrieving and recreating
my own stuff.

In my book, that’s HUGE…cause without leads coming in,
a marketer is dead in the water!!

Add the cash generating features that put checks in our hands
and it’s no wonder that newbies and seasoned veterans alike
are running to My Lead System Pro as their system of choice.

(it’s like getting PAID to prospect!!)

But WAIT!!!!!!!!

Is Your Business Going Down In Flames?

I heard a story about a fabulous, multi-million building
complex that was burning out of control…

It was well known for its large, enclosed courtyard with its
elaborate gardens and was nestled serenely at the foot of a hill.

After several alarms, many large fire trucks surrounded the
building, but the firemen were unable to put out the blaze.

All of a sudden, a smaller fire truck careened down the hill,
crashed through the walls of the blazing building and into the
courtyard where it stopped.

Immediately, the men jumped off and began fighting
the stubborn flames.

To everyone’s amazement, the fire was soon out.

As you might imagine, the team from that truck became instant
heroes and in appreciation for their bravery and selfless
actions, the building’s owner gave the fire department a
rather substantial contribution.

When the small fire squad was asked how they might use
the money, its Captain said,

“Well, first thing we’re going to do is
get the brakes on that truck fixed!”

Sure, the story is humorous, but it’s also thought provoking.

We all come across barriers…walls…that seem to be preventing
us from what we want to accomplish.

And at times, we need to take a serious look at changing the way
we’re doing certain things.

But most of us don’t like change, do we?

Some reasons we’re reluctant might be…

• We’re familiar with the methods we’re using
• We would have to invest time to learn new methods
• We want someone to TELL us what to do
• We don’t think we can do it
• We don’t want to upset anyone or are worried what
others may think

I’m sure there are as many reasons as there are people,
but the fact remains…people resist changing.

But let me ask you…

Is your business going down in flames?
