Trust Your Inner Voice…It Can Improve Your Business

Too many home and small business owners are doing what others are dictating even when it doesn’t feel right to them.

When you listen to your Inner Guide, however, things can change for the better

Video clip taken from footage of the Home and Small Business Network’s

Instant Marketing Professional Seminar in Hartford CT, March, 2011.

An Inside Look At The Million Mind March

After nearly two years as a member of the Million Mind March, it’s time I “go public” with the truth about the community.

Taken from an actual members only call, this audio clip addresses what, for me,
is the essence of our mastermind community.

For information on a trial membership that includes 2 CD’s, 6 hours of mp3′s

If You Don’t Know Where Your Target Is, You Won’t Hit the Bullseye

Ask any business owner to list their top priorities, and no
doubt “more customers/leads” will be near the top.

There’s one CRITICAL concept that all business owners
MUST KNOW in order to move their business forward.

Whether you’re brand new and just starting your business
or you’ve been around for awhile, you have to know WHO
your target market is.

This is key, because if we don’t know WHO they are, we
can’t know WHERE they are, or WHAT they want and need.

I know…and I’ve heard it hundreds of times…

”But everyone is a potential customer…as long as they can
fog a mirror…”

But that’s just not true.

There are certain things that your products do and do not do
that attract certain people.

For example, maybe you work with a company that has a
weight loss product.  Somebody who is very thin and fit is
not likely to be attracted to it

Perhaps you’re marketing for a hardware store that features
specials for do-it-yourself-ers.  A tool of the month, or
something like that.  You wouldn’t expect many customers
to be coming from the high-rise retirement condos.

I’m sure you get my point.

You’re looking for a “message to market” match.

One of the best things you can do for yourself and your
business is to sit down with pencil and paper and write
down exactly what benefits your product or service has and
ask yourself…who do they apply to?

Man or woman?  How old are they?

What are they looking for?  What are they thinking about?

What ‘s their income level?  What are they interested in?

Do they like to read, or are they the active outdoor type?

What kinds of PROBLEMS are they having?

Get your description as close to being an actual person as
you possibly can.  You may want to even give this “person”
a name.

What you’re actually doing is creating an avatar of your
ideal prospect.

The reason it’s so critical to know who your market is
SPECIFICALLY is so you know where to FIND them!

This is KEY!

For example, if your market is made up of women over the
age of 50, the chance of finding them hanging around a
forum for skateboarders is not very good.  And you more
than likely won’t find many ideal customers for your baby
products at an auto parts store.

Probably the best example I’ve heard on this topic was
from marketing expert and trainer, Diane Hochman.  She
equates it to trying to find a relative you’ve never met,
Uncle Harry,  at a major airport without knowing the terminal,
the airline or his flight number and running around yelling
his name everywhere trying to find him.

When you know who your target market is, not only do you
know where they hang out and what they’re thinking, you
speak their language.

You know what they lay in bed awake worrying about at
night, what they’re typing into Google at 3:00 a.m. and
you can speak right into them.

I think it was Randy Gage who suggested we “enter the
conversation that they’re having in their head”.

It’s then that they’ll respond to you.

Take some time to totally flesh out this person (or people)
and get to know EXACTLY who your target market is.

Once you know WHO you’re talking to, it’s much easier to
have a conversation.

Please note: If you have more than one product, you will
likely have more than one target market and need to flesh
out more than one person.

Best of the Cheese…

This past week, Diane Hochman posted this hysterical video from
the seminar in Hartford, CT of my true confession about the best
(worst?) MLM pitch line I ever used.

We all got a good laugh…hope you enjoy it

I’d LOVE to know the cheesiest MLM pick up line that YOU ever used…
leave it in the comment box!

But the real question is,  are you tired of the crazy ways you’re
being taught to promote your home business?

There IS a better way.

I’m Not Following Henny Penny!

Monday night at 9:27 the Million Mind March weekly public call began

But this night…this call…was destined to be more, MUCH MORE than a mindset training

This time, we witnessed a WARRIOR QUEEN ride in…banner held high

Then suddenly, we were all children again…sitting cross legged on the carpet, listening to “Story Time”

She told the tale of Henny Penny and the sky falling down, and told it well.

Then, Queen Hochman drew her sword, held it high and sounded the BATTLE CRY

The cry AGAINST mindlessly following the crowd…of waiting for others to tell you what to do…of being just another lemming (or Turkey Lurkey, as the case may be)

The cry FOR taking responsibility for yourself, your family and your life…of preparing for the future by learning how to survive

The cry FOR awareness!

You want to Download this audio

Put it on your mp3 player

Shut off the computer…turn off the phones

Get rid of the distractions

And listen

Then listen again

And again

This may well be one of the most important 25 minute recordings you’ve heard.

I’m not following Henny Penny…what about you??

Won’t you STAND with us?

Some Things Are Just Too Important to Keep Private

Christmas is only 3 weeks away, and I’m busy making “first Christmas”
baby dolls and ornaments for the two new additions to our family that
were born this year.

While I was stuffing one of the doll’s arms, I happened to think…

I have a “secret page” on my blog with stuff that’s for my subscribers only
(Yet ANOTHER benefit of being on my list) and the other day I had posted a
download link to the recording from Monday night’s Million Mind March
public call there…

I’m telling you, Diane absolutely ROARED (if you heard her, you
KNOW what I mean!)

She went on one of her rants about why people have such a hard time with their
businesses and explained EXACTLY what the problem is for most folks.

It’s become known as the “Integrity Call”…and for good reason.

Planned to make clips, create “quickie” videos with them, etc.  (and I still may),
but I got to thinking…

This message is far too IMPORTANT  to keep hidden on a secret page, so I’m
putting it right here…on the front page of my blog…WITH a download link.

Listen to or Download Diane Hochman’s Integrity Call Here

Feel free to tell your colleagues and friends to come on over and either
listen to the recording or download the mp3.

Let’s just call it a Christmas gift to the home and small business industry.

And speaking of Christmas…I just launched a new service for grandmothers
who want something special for their grandchild.

Honestly, the idea came during a conversation with my sister, who became a
grandma for the very first time last month.

Her daughter and brand-new granddaughter will be living thousands of miles
from her (military family), and I wanted help her to be able to stay connected
with that precious little one…and came up with a simple way to put personalized
recordings (reading stories, etc.)  for her grandchild on the web

So if you know anyone who could use this service, please share this link with
them… http://Christmas.andGrandma.com

Now I have to get back to making those baby dolls and special ornaments. :)
